The "Sichuan Province Advanced Tool MaterialEngineering Research Center" is built in Sichuan, and Chengdu BangpuCutting Tool Co., Ltd., as the construction unit, will help the innovation anddevelopment of the high-end cutting tool industry.

The Sichuan Advanced Cutting Tool Material EngineeringResearch Center is jointly established by Chengdu Bangpu Cutting Tool Co., Ltd,AVIC Chengdu Aircraft Engine Co., Ltd, Chongqing Materials Research InstituteCo., Ltd, and Zigong Cemented Carbide Co., Ltd. The construction has beenofficially approved by the Provincial Development and Reform Commission.

This center will focus on the technical progress of theadvanced non-ferrous metal industry and the transformation needs of scientificand technological achievements, concentrating on key common technologies suchas ultra-fine powder metallurgy, vacuum ion coating, composite polycrystalline,etc., and breaking through technical bottlenecks such as advanced toolmaterials for processing key parts of aircraft titanium carbon materials,high-speed rail on-track repair milling cutter coating materials, diamondcutter manufacturing technology for LCD panel cutting, low-temperatureco-sintering structural ceramic tool manufacturing technology, andmulti-component coating technology to drive the innovative development ofhigh-end cutting tool industry in Sichuan province. It provides technologydevelopment and achievement engineering test, verification environment, andservices for industry development, promoting the industrialization ofindependent innovation achievements, and industrial transformation andupgrading development.
